Very excited to start off 2011 in the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) for our Junior High with Coach Edlhuber. Gonna be a great year. Today we met for the first time and were able to learn a little about the history of FCA (see video below) as well as encourage our Cross Country Team by making cards/notes to put on their lockers (they have a race today). We included 1 Corinthians 9:24 on their cards/notes which of course is a great passage from Paul connecting the spiritual life with the sporting life. It says, "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."
