Remedy Drive - Resuscitate Me

Remedy Drive is one of my new favorite bands which reminds me of one of my old favorite bands, Switchfoot. I love their aggressive, spiritually strong rock 'n roll. I think you will too!

So what's it all about? Resuscitate means to revive (someone) from unconsciousness or apparent death. This time Remedy Drive is speaking of a spiritual death. There have been times in my walk with God that I've gone unconscious and needed His Spirit to awaken me. In fact, many times God has reminded me that He's in charge and I need to get my act together. This life will lull you to sleep and you can spend every waking second on "me." What will I eat? What will I do today? How will I provide for my family? What do I want to listen to? It becomes me, me, me if you're not careful and mindful of the Spirit. So if anything, this song reminds me to WAKE UP and start living my life for God and not myself. 

This song also reminds me that no one is too far gone spiritually that God can't bring them back. No matter how far someone goes away from God. There is no "too far" in God's book. Just think of the parable of the prodigal son [read more here on the prodigal son.] He had totally turned his back on his father and when he got to end of his rope he decided to return home as a servant in his father's household. His father would not hear of this. He welcomed his son back with open arms and not only that but he threw a party in his son's honor. God wants you back. Turn around and come home.
