Always - Kristian Stanfill

We sang this song in chapel yesterday (9/11) in our praise + worship time and right beforehand a few words were said about the terrible, horrific terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Most of the students in the room are too young to remember what happened or even have any memories of the aftermath. I know exactly where I was, what I was doing and how this affected me and the rest of our country.

I won't dwell on all that occurred that day and the days afterwards but my heart still hurts for all of the victims of that day and their families and friends who were left behind. My they not be forgotten.

Along with some words the chapel band read from Psalm 46 which reminds us of the God we serve.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging....The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress....He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Afterwards we sang this song to end chapel. Awesome finish guys!
