Well here we are again at the end of another NFL season. This is one of the worst times of the year. First of all, the Steelers didn't even make it into the playoffs this year after winning it all last year. So my excitement about the Super Bowl is somewhat minimized by that fact. Secondly, there are 7 months from now until another NFL game. There are 6 months to another season of NCAA football. That is a lot of time without entertainment.
Don't get me wrong. The other major sports are great. Their athletes are very talented and all. But for me to sit down and watch a whole game the only thing that can keep my attention for that long is a football game. I'll enjoy the rest of the NHL season but don't get to see many games. Even playoff games aren't broadcast on network TV. Last year when the Penguins won the Stanley Cup I had to watch or listen to games online.
Don't get me started on MLB. I would be just fine if they didn't show a single game on TV.
I'll watch the NBA playoffs-well maybe just the NBA Finals.
The summer is the worst time for me and sports because nothing is on.
Now that I think about it I am very excited now about the Super Bowl because I just remembered how long it will be until I have fun watchings sports on TV.
Prediction? Colts 33 - Saints 24
