I don't know a lot about the band Owl City (Adam Young) but I do know he's a man of faith. You might ask, "How do you know? Have you met him? Can you interpret his lyrics? Are you his BFF?" I would have to say "no" to all of these questions. I know he is a man of faith because of this statement, "I cling dearly to the hope and joy that is found in Jesus Christ. My faith is a big part of who I am and why I make music." This quote was found in the most recent Relevant Magazine, you can read the entire article HERE.
The song itself if just plain fun and apparently the rest of the US (and many other nations) agrees. I don't see a lot of depth to the song itself. It's fun, catchy, positive. I just thought it was great that a man of faith has become so popular on the record charts. I hope he can use this platform to share his faith and not tuck it away somewhere. God bless Adam Young.
FYI - Matt Theissen of Relient K is the guest singer on the song...at first I just thought Adam Young sounded exactly like Theissen.
